Margrethe Melbye comes from the role of Global Head of Systems and Data at Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM), and now takes on the role of Chief Information Security Officer (CIO/CISO) at Evidi.
Melbye has a long career in the banking sector, with many different IT roles in DNB for almost 20 years, and for the past three years she has worked at the Oil Foundation.
I have had an exciting time at NBIM, where I, together with fantastic colleagues, have helped to lift the IT area to become a central part of the development for the organization. Creating a more efficient technological foundation for the organization has been an important task, and something that I have had great pleasure working with, says Melbye.
I have been fortunate to have worked with large and small change processes and digital transformations, globally, in Norway and the Nordic region. Technology and transformation are of course the key words for us at Evidi to succeed with our goal. This is at the core of what I have worked with at DNB and NBIM.
I look forward to using my experiences in a new context in Evidi and not least learning new things, says Melbye.
Already in the initial contact with Evidi, I was sold. The solid foundation that the original five businesses constitute, together with the clear growth ambition in Norway and the Nordic region, sparked something in me. In addition, I understood that there is no shortage of competent people in the business as I met more of the people who work here. The combination of energetic ambitions and competent employees makes this venture very interesting, says Melbye.
Melbye will join the management of a business with a solid foothold in Norway – with growth ambitions for the entire Nordic region. Evidi is a result of the merger of the IT businesses eSeven, Pilaro, Communicate, Skill and Albatross IT. The business has 300 employees in ten offices in Oslo, Asker, Bergen, Halden, Sandnes, Sarpsborg, Stavanger, Tønsberg and Copenhagen.
CEO of Evidi, Jørn Seglem, is proud of the appointment of Melbye and is pleased that she can bring new perspectives to the business.
I am incredibly pleased that we have Margrethe on board. Evidi is going on a long journey of change, and therefore it is good to have a leader with extensive experience and impact. Through the processes she has been involved in, both at DNB and NBIM, she has shown that she is able to handle strong stakeholders, and she has succeeded in guiding the organizations through a crucial modernization. Now I look forward to working with Margrethe to further develop Evidi, says Seglem.
