Jørn Seglem becomes new CEO of Skill Communicate

Just over a month after the establishment of the new joint company, Skill Communicate got a new CEO who will lead the ambitious investment going forward.

Jørn Seglem comes from a position as CEO of SAS Institute in Norway, where he has also had a Nordic leadership role. Previously, Seglem has had leadership positions on the digital transformation in the industrial group Kongsberg – Kongsberg Digital. Prior to this, he worked for several years at Microsoft and had various leadership roles. Seglem has also served on the board of directors at Forte Digital, and now holds active board positions in Prediktor and Mnemonic.

SAS Institute has been a great place to work, and after significant growth in 2021, I feel confident that I will leave the company and the team at a good time. If I were to be enticed into a new job, it would require a completely unique concept and opportunity. The very first time I met Chairman of the Board Gudmund Killi, and heard about the ambitions for the digital transformation, I was sold, says Jørn Seglem.

After an extensive application process, the board and chairman Gudmund Killi's choice fell on the one they thought could make the best team.

His experience in creating solid companies within both services and software, home and abroad, Microsoft and other technologies is exactly what it takes for the Skill Communicate companies to become invincible, says Chairman of the Board Gudmund Killi.

Jørn Seglem will take over from CEO Odd Nymark on 1 May 2022.

I would like to thank Odd Nymark for a formidable effort as interim head of Skill Communicate during the construction of the business. It has been amazing to have such an experienced leader in the middle of so many companies and people who need to get together in a short time. Odd will continue in the same role as interim manager until Jørn is in place, and in a transition phase, thereafter, says Killi.

Following the merger of eSeven, Pilaro, AITC, Skill and Communicate, the business now has over 300 employees and is already delivering value to customers across Microsoft's technology platform.

These are five already impressive companies, with clear positions built up over a long period of time with their customers. Now we are gathering all our efforts to think about further growth and a sharpened strategic direction. I am really looking forward to getting to know both employees and customers and together further developing the combined company Skill Communicate into something completely unique, concludes Jørn Seglem.

Skill Communicate AS is Norway's largest independent Microsoft partner with expertise in the development, implementation, and maintenance of critical IT solutions, including physical and cloud-based infrastructure, critical business applications such as ERP, CRM and MS 365, data- and integration platforms as well as data modelling and analysis.

In total, the companies have a turnover of just under NOK 500 million with 300 employees at offices in Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger, Sandnes, Asker, Tønsberg, Sarpsborg and Halden.

Skill Communicate is owned by key employees and Credo Partners is the active owner and largest shareholder. Credo Partners is a Norwegian investment company that scales up companies in partnership with investors and founders. Credo specializes in developing medium-sized founders and family companies into scalable business systems, focusing on the industrial, B2B services, consumer goods and healthcare sectors.
